【摘要】:ThispartofISO7539coversproceduresforconductingslowstrainratetestsforinvestigatingsusceptibilityofametaltostresscorrosioncracking,includinghydrogen-inducedfailure.Theterm"metal"asusedinthispartofISO7539includesalloys.Slowstrainratetestsareadaptablefortestingawidevarietyofproductforms,includingplate,rod,wire,sheetandtubes,aswellascompositesoftheseandpartsjoinedbywelding.Notchedspecimensmaybeused,aswellasinitiallyplainspecimens.Theprincipaladvantageofthetestistherapiditywithwhichsusceptibilitytostresscorrosioncrackingofaparticularmetal/environmentcombinationcanbeassessed.
