【摘要】:Forpetroleumproductsandbiodieselfuels,thecloudpointisanindexofthelowesttemperatureoftheirutilityforcertainapplications.Waxcrystalsofsufficientquantitycanplugfiltersusedinsomefuelsystems.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthecloudpoint.Thistestmethodcandeterminethetemperatureofthetestspecimenatwhichwaxcrystalshaveformedsufficientlytobeobservedasacloudwitharesolutionof0.1x00B0;C.Thistestmethodprovidesresultsthat,whenroundedtothenextlowerinteger,areequivalenttoTestMethodD2500.Referto12.2.ThistestmethodismoreprecisethanTestMethodD2500.Note18212;Accordingtointerlaboratoryexamination,thereproducibilityofthistestmethodhasbeenfoundtobemoreprecisethanTestMethodD2500.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedescriptionofthedeterminationofthecloudpointofpetroleumproductsandbiodieselfuelsthataretransparentinlayers40mminthickness,byanautomaticinstrumentusinganopticaldevice.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstherangeoftemperaturesfromx2212;60to+49x00B0;Cwithtemperatureresolutionof0.1x00B0;C,however,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1997interlaboratorycooperativetestprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangeofx2013;56to+34x00B0;C.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
