【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedto:ComparethefunctioningoftwoormorekindsofTypeIAclosures.DetermineoraidintherecommendationsforminimumimmediateremovaltorqueorminimumapplicationtorqueforthepropersecuringofTypeIAchild-resistantclosuresafterevaluationofthetorquedegradationcharacteristicsoftheclosure-containersystem.Compareimmediateremovaltorquetofullydegraded,withlong-termstorage,removaltorqueforagivenclosure-containersystem.Providefortheevaluationofoneaspectofchild-resistantclosurecontinuousfunctioningbyprojectedreverse-ratchetabuse.CompareapplicationtorqueretentionsofgivenTypeIAclosuresfollowingachangeinliningmaterial,closurematerial,containertype,oranyotherchangefromtheclosure-containersysteminitiallyevaluated.Assurebydeterminingreverse-ratchettorquesandremovaltorques,thatthegivenTypeIAchild-resistantclosureiscontinuingtofunctionasitdidduringchildandadultprotocol(16CFR1700.20).1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofortherecommendationforminimumapplicationtorquethatresultsinafullydegradedremovaltorquethatisatalevelgreaterthanthemaximumexpectedreverse-ratchettorqueforaTypeIAchild-resistantclosure.(SeeClassificationD3475).1.2Thistestmethodprovidesaprocedurethatwillassurethemaintenanceoftherespectivechild-resistantpropertiesofTypeIAchild-resistantclosures.1.3AmajorlimitationtothedeterminationofminimumapplicationtorqueofTypeIAchild-resistantclosuresisbecausemanycapperslackthecapabilityformeasuringclosureapplicationtorques;therefore,minimalrecommendationsderivedfromthismethodare,ofnecessity,definedintermsoftheimmediateremovaltorques.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
